Estate Master DF and DM Version 5.0
Work has begun to seamlessly migrate the Estate Master DF and DM programs into a Microsoft .Net software package independent of Microsoft Excel.
This will be a complete and meticulous recreation of the existing product in a new independent spreadsheet format, ensuring no added knowledge is required by the user, but with the following added benefits:
- Significantly smaller file sizes (measured in kilobytes rather than megabytes!)
- No dependence on Microsoft Excel required.
- Microsoft Excel compatible functions such as entering formulas in input fields, linking cells, inserting additional worksheets, etc.
- Faster opening, saving and closing of files.
- A more robust and scalable software platform, providing a better development foundation for future enhancements.
- This process has already been successful in our new Investment Appraisal (IA) program. For an example of how this new platform will look, please download and evaluate a trial of Estate Master IA.

More Flexible Licensing Options
Research and development has begun on providing more flexible licensing options to our users in 2009. These include:
- Floating Licences
- This would be an upgrade to our CAS (Concurrent Access Session) licensing with the added benefit of being able to be implemented in a network environment without the requirement of a Terminal Server.
- It will also provide for a more streamlined option for clients deploying the software over multiple workstations.
- Subscription Licences
- This will provide an additional option to allow user to spread their licence payments on an annual subscription basis, therefore minimising upfront software costs.
